I would like to make my Data Viz section an interactive chart about the expenses related to starting and up-keeping an emergency youth shelter in Suffolk County. Most of the data has been provided to me by The Hope for Youth organization who is opening the new Suffolk shelter in Babylon. The data provided is related to the $50,000 deficit the shelter is in that is made up by donations and private funding. This covers things like transportation, healthcare, supplies, food etc. The other costs are fitting to a Suffolk grant for operational costs.
I would like it to be similar to Kerlern Tuitt’s in her JRN 490 “The Life of Brian.” How it will differ is that I think a corresponding map by Knight JS that leads the reader through the article for sources of funding as a community effort.
